Gareth Henry is a Jamaican badminton player who was born in 1991 on August 10, making him currently 27 years of age. He has competed throughout many rigorous competitions throughout his career and made many headlines.
A few major competitions that Gareth Henry has competed in were the 2014 Commonwealth Games, not to mention the 2011 and 2015 Pan American Games. Though he had not received a gold medal, he was part of the team that won bronze in the men’s team for the 2018 Pan Am Men’s Team Championships. But this is not where it stopped because he did win a gold medal with his team at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games.
Gareth Henry has done many wondrous things throughout his badminton career, but one thing that has always stood out to many people is his participation as an activist for gay rights. He has been through the ups and downs in both his career and his personal life and he has mentioned how this is possibly the reason that he is an activist for gay rights. Gareth Henry supports gay people and believes that there should be no reason gay people should be treated any different from the rest of society.
